Me and My Kid’s Book Klub is designed to bring parents and children together through the joy of reading. It creates opportunities for families to read, connect, explore, and learn together while making the reading experience memorable, meaningful, and fun.
This is not your average book club!
While we will certainly have fun, Me and My Kid’s Book Klub is also a learning experience. Ms. Angelique will use Book Klub time to teach valuable reading skills and help each reader become a more confident and capable reader. Because of this, group sizes are intentionally limited to create a small, structured, and supportive learning environment where both children and parents can actively participate.
We understand that every child learns and responds differently in a group setting. If you have concerns about whether a group setting is the right fit for your child, Ms. Angelique also offers one-on-one reading sessions that may provide a better learning environment for your reader.
This fun, playful, and interactive club is designed for reluctant or struggling readers, as well as children who want to strengthen and enhance their reading comprehension skills.
You and your child will receive a carefully selected book along with a Book Kit filled with everything you and your little reader will need to actively engage with their reading materials.
Reading Beyond the Classroom
When the weather is nice, Me and My Kid’s Book Klub takes reading outdoors! Our meeting locations may include local parks, National Parks, and other outdoor spaces. We believe that reading doesn’t have to happen at a desk—and sometimes the best reading adventures happen outside!
Because our locations may vary, please come prepared for the environment. Depending on the location and weather, you may want to bring items such as:
Picnic blanket
Lawn or folding chairs
Hat
Jacket or layers
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Water
Any other outdoor essentials your family may need
Please note: Not all outdoor locations will have restrooms nearby. We encourage families to plan accordingly before arriving at each meeting location.
